Introducing Scents from Nature – Natural Essential Oils Company

We are a company that produces, imports, and exports organic essential and vegetable oils. Our own distilleries are located in Angola, our main factory, and in Portugal where we transform fresh raw material into added-value products such as essential oils and vegetable oils. 

We specialize in the cultivation and preservation of rare and native Angolan plants. 

Additionally, we also produce more known and not native African plants, such as Lemongrass or White Verbena to present a wider range of products to our customers.

Our main mission is to promote sustainable agriculture and preserve biodiversity by cultivating and sharing rare and exotic plant species with the world. 

We believe that by working with local communities and experts, we can help to promote economic development while preserving the natural environment. Our team consists of experienced botanists, agricultural experts, and chemists who are dedicated to the conservation and cultivation of native Angolan plants.

We work closely with local communities to identify and collect native plant species, and we are researching sustainable cultivation methods to domesticate and ensure that these plants can be enjoyed for generations to come.

At the moment we harvest spontaneous plants as well as from our fields. We proud ourselves to say that, besides having our own agricultural land, we work with 56 indirect producers that receive from our greenhouse certified and controlled seedlings for the production of aromatic plants. 

The raw material obtained allows us to extract oils from a wide range of plant species, many of which are not found anywhere else in the world as, for example, Mopane (Colophospermum Mopane (Benth.) Leonard), Resurrection Bush (Myrothamnus Flabellifolia Welw.) and Wild Verbena (Lippia Javanica (Burm.f.) Spreng.).

Crafting Essential Oils

Our essential oils are made using supervised distillation methods in our factory. We use steam and hydro-distillation with controlled temperatures for herbaceous plants and for woody material respectively (for example for our Muhuhu Sandalwood, Brachylaena Huillensis O.Hoffm.), ensuring that the plants are distilled correctly and consistently and that the oils are of the highest quality.

Each essential oil is carefully crafted to capture the unique properties and fragrance of the plant from which it is distilled. 

Our oils are 100% natural and free from synthetic fragrances, making them safe and healthy for use in a wide range of applications.

Besides being 100% natural and free from synthetic fragrances, we carefully source only the finest quality plants that are grown using sustainable ethical farming and controlled wild-harvesting practices. 

Additionally, we made sure that our own distilleries are not far from the areas where plants are harvested, guaranteeing that these plants are distilled fresh. 

Once we have the raw materials, we use state-of-the-art equipment and techniques to extract the oils in the most effective and gentle manner possible. Throughout the production process, our oils are tested for purity, phisico-chemical properties, and aroma to ensure that they meet our high standards. 

At our factory’s laboratory we use chromatography to foresee if the chemical profile is within the expected ranges before bulking. We also conduct third-party testing to ensure that our oils are free from contaminants and meet all regulatory requirements.
